A $500.00 deposit for all programs is required by January 1, 2012.

Payment Plans

Opera NUOVA offers a payment plan which consists of four, equal monthly payments starting February 1, 2012. The applicant must provide Opera NUOVA with post-dated cheques.

Below is an example of a Payment Program for an applicant who is enrolled in the 6 week program:

Scholarships/Bursaries
NUOVA scholarships and bursaries are based upon the audition and letters of application for financial support, which must be included with the application package. Successful applicants will be informed in December if they have received a scholarship or bursary, allowing for proper financial planning with a clear delineation of payment plans.

Accommodations/Meal Plan
Opera NUOVA arranges on and off campus accommodation and meal plans for all participants enrolled in the Summer Intensive Opera Programs. Participants can choose to stay on the University of Alberta campus at St. Joseph’s Residence, or can be placed with billet host families located throughout the city.

RESIDENCE
If a participant chooses residence, he/she will be housed in private occupancy rooms/shared bathroom within walking distance from the program facility and concert hall. The package includes three meals per day for approximately $30 (per day). The charge for students in the One Week Mini-NUOVA Program is $55/day. Linens and internet are included in this package.

HOST FAMILY
If a student chooses to stay with a host family, there is no charge HOWEVER, homes generally are a considerable distance from the university and therefore there are travel expenses and travel times to be considered. Students who choose to stay with a host family are also responsible for their own meal arrangements. Many participants choose to purchase the meal plan provided through residence at the University.

Students may also opt to stay with family/relatives living in the Edmonton area.
